I received my PhD in physics in 1992 at the National University of La Plata studying solids thermodynamics using hyperfine techniques. Between 1994 and 1996 I did a postdoctoral stay at the University of Leipzig investigating metalloproteins. In 1997 I began my specialization in the use of spectroscopic and structural techniques based on synchrotron light sources, which have remained my focus since then. Between 2001 and 2004 I did a second postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry studying the structure of proteins associated with the defensive system of endemic insects in South America. In 2006 I joined INIFTA and in 2010 I was part of the founding group of the Soft Matter Laboratory. Since then, I have collaborated with the staff of this laboratory, contributing my knowledge in the characterization of soft systems using X-ray absorption and dispersion techniques.

My topics of interest focus on the study of the relationships between gel structure, dynamics and function.
