Juliana has a degree in Chemistry (UNLP, 2010). She obtained a PhD in Chemistry (UNLP, 2016) working on the electrochemistry of conductive polymers. She carried out postdoctoral studies at the Soft Matter Laboratory of the Instituto de Investigaciones Fisicoquímicas Teóricas y Aplicadas (INIFTA) dedicated to the design of biosensing platforms based on conducting polymers. She also carried out teaching activities at the UNLP and the Universidad Nacional Arturo Jauretche (UNAJ).

Currently, Juliana is a CONICET staff researcher at the Soft Matter Laboratory. Her research projects involve the synthesis of polymeric materials for different applications, such as the development of plastic biosensors (metal-free), organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) and supercapacitors.

Research interest

  • Electrochemistry of electroactive polymers

  • Organic electrochemical transistors and biosensing

  • Conducting polymer-based materials for supercapacitors
